The Coffee Enema Infusion

Targeted Support for Hepatobiliary Function

As part of our Body Works Signature 360 or as an add-on to a standard colonic treatment, we offer a professional coffee enema infusion.

This is not a “caffeine hit” or a digestive stimulant in the traditional sense; rather, it is a targeted 15-minute retention infusion designed to support the body’s internal filtration pathways.

What is a Coffee Enema?

A coffee enema involves the introduction of a specific, organic, green-roast coffee solution into the colon via the hydrotherapy equipment. Unlike drinking coffee, which travels through the stomach and can irritate the upper GI tract, the enema is retained in the lower bowel for a short period, allowing the solution to interact directly with the portal vein system.

What to Expect During the Infusion

01

The Process

After the main colonic irrigation is complete, a small amount of body-temperature coffee solution is introduced.

02

The Retention

You will be encouraged to retain the solution for approximately 15 minutes whilst laying on the couch.

03

The Release

The solution is then released on the toilet.

Who May Find This Beneficial

Individuals with “Sluggish” Liver Symptoms
Those who feel chronically fatigued, experience brain fog, or have skin issues (like acne or dullness). The theory is that by stimulating the Glutathione S-transferase (GST) enzyme, the body can more effectively clear out the metabolic “gunk” that leads to these symptoms.

People Undergoing Intensive Detox Protocols
Coffee enemas gained popularity through the Gerson Therapy. People who feel they have been over-exposed to environmental toxins or heavy metals often use this as a supportive measure for Phase II liver detoxification.

Those with Gallbladder “Stasis”
Because the infusion is believed to dilate the bile ducts, individuals who feel “congested” in the upper right quadrant of their abdomen often seek this out to help move stagnant bile and prevent the formation of biliary sludge.

A Note on Clinical Suitability

The coffee enema is a powerful tool and is not suitable for everyone. We do not offer this infusion to clients with:

Specific heart conditions
Severe anaemia
Currently undergoing certain medical treatments

As with all our procedures, we assess suitability on an individual basis during your consultation to ensure the treatment is both safe and effective for your specific physiology.
